Just a string of pictures of the door mirrors on my Minx.
The mirrors came of a car of some sort, possibly a very rusty Hunter that also donated the shiny steelies on the Minx.
 

The left hand mirror was mounted further  back than the drivers side to allow for the driver position. I have short legs and so my placement may not suit people with different body size or shape.
I stuck them in place with double side tape and gave them a "drive test" before finalising the location.
The little Minx came into the workshop for a rub down and quick respray but serious rust under  the left side front guard caused it to become a full strip down.
The inner guard repair was completed  but my house move this year (2026) had the removed left guard and grille sheet metal temporarily reattached with tek screws to allow me to trailer it all the 1200km to Brisbane. Now waiting for time to get back to the car work.
Updating  and fixing the old house has been required by domestic management as a first priority :-)

 66M1NX came with a set of seat belts. They were an optional fitting so the belts were effectively an aftermarket accessory. I can understand why people found all sorts of lame excuses  not to use them. They were awkward, uncomfortable  and difficult to adjust. Rust repairs the way back

 Thought I would start a new page for the reconstruction work, Having removed all the outer parts that were in the way the little rust trap was revealed so today I cut the rotten part out of the top and cleaned all the debris out. Also gave the under guard area a good going over with a wire brush to remove all the loose dirt, sticky BS and loose paint. A fair amount of dirt in there. Looking better now The lower part is still relatively solid so a little more clean and grind first The light spots are the holes that were originally visible from the engine bay. This piece will need to be cut out and replaced. This level of rust damage is not seen.  It appears as little bubbles in the paint, Cleaning the outer part back and repainting the area is a temporary measure only as the cancer is still in there growing slowly.
